The Grimmialp ski area in Schwenden is tailored entirely to the family. If you want to experience something else besides skiing and snowboarding, this is the place to be.
The area is sunny, well laid out and varied, just what families want. The facilities include a 3-seater chairlift with entry conveyor belt, a ski lift and a children's platter lift.

A signposted snow-shoe trail (circular hiking trail) at the end of the Diemtigtal Nature Park valley. There is a wildlife watching shelter with information about wildlife and a telescope to watch the ibex colonies.
Easy circular trail in Schwenden. It leads from the Grimmialp winter sports centre to Schwenden village via Senggiweid. After a short ascent to the Schwenden chapel and the former Grimmialp spa building, you return to Grimmialp centre.
The theme trail on Grimmialp is dedicated to probably the most famous guest from Diemtigtal. Schweitzer's stays on Grimmialp between 1901 and 1909 had a strong influence on his ethic of "reverence for life".
