Parc régional Chasseral - Near to the hamlets of Montagne de Cernier and Montagne de Chézard there is a large network of cattle trails, called "Boviducs". Along these trails you walk between hedges and dry stone walls.
The mountains of Chézard and Cernier preserve the remains of an exceptional group of boviducs (paths used to manage grazing cattle, with a double border of hedges and dry stone walls). A number of other walls, pierced by various passages, illustrate the multiple roles of these emblematic constructions of the Jura rural development.
The boviducs are one of the sights featured in a 2-day hiking package through the Chasseral Regional Park.
The route "Chasseral - La Vue des Alpes: Chemin des Pionniers" is one of the cultural routes in Switzerland. The tourist use and proper maintenance of historic communication routes are important contributions to development.
