The mining silo is located in Herznach in a natural setting. It is a special experience to be able to spend the night in a renovated mining silo. In addition, the surroundings with the large natural pond invite you to linger and relax. If you like hiking and love nature, you will feel at home here and really enjoy your stay. A guided tour will also give you an insight into the work of the miners and the history and geology of the Herznach iron mine. This offer can also be booked as a group according to your wishes.
The rooms in the silo are arranged in a circle. Each room is cosily furnished and has its own large bathroom with shower and WC and a TV. At breakfast in the Bergwerkstube with its cosy little bay windows, you have a wonderful view of the rural surroundings.

For hundreds of years iron ore was quarried between Herznach and Wölflinswil. Follow the tracks of the miners. But not only iron lay beneath the surface of the picturesque Jura landscape. There are also numerous fossils along the iron trail.
