Gäggersteg
In 1999 the storm Lothar destroyed much of the forest between Schwarzenbühl and Ottenleue. High above the forest floor on a wooden board walk, one can see how the forest is recovering.
Naturpark Gantrisch -
It roars and laughs and grumbles and cracks when Türst and his goats frolic through the woods on the Gägger. Experience together with Türst how the wind destroyed the forest, how the trees grow and how roots look like from below. Discover the animals from the Gägger walkway in the forest and what traces they leave behind. And finally you lie down with Türst in the grass and enjoy nature in Gantrisch. You can pick up your reward later.
The family path is an easy circular walk, which takes you over the up to eight-metre high Gäggersteg. The accompanying story "The wild Türst - the turbulent game on the Gägger" leads you and your parents along eight stations through the wild nature. You will collect eight runes that make up a password. If you know it, a reward awaits you.
Good luck!
The Gäggersteg family and theme trail is closed in winter!
Find the solution with the help of the wild Türst of Gägger & his animals.
Search at the starting points for a big tree trunk on which you can see the Türst. There you will find the accompanying story of the wild Türst in a secret hiding place. Find out more about him along the way and collect eight runes - one hidden at each station! Simply place the booklet in the right place and press.
The eight characters form a password. Show the password in the booklet at the Selital mountain hut, the Schwarzenbühl spa hotel, the Gurnigel Berghaus or in the Löwen Riffenmatt. There you will receive a great surprise from the Gantrisch Nature Park.
The family path on the Gägger is an experience with play, fun & learning for you and your whole family. There are many attractive picnic areas along the trail, but no barbecue areas. It is strictly forbidden to barbecue in the forest reserve.
There is a barbecue area about 400 metres from the refuge on Süftenenegg.
