Binn - Schaplersee - Binn

Landschaftspark Binntal - The start is at the bridge in Binn. At the bridge you go up to the church. After a steep ascent we turn right into the mountain path after about 400 m. The trail continues s up the mountain forest to Schaplerstafel, passing Salzgeb.

You now enter the hiking trail of Heiligkreuz and walk towards the coffee table. Shortly before reaching Kaffeestafel you can enjoy the first beautiful views towards Aletsch and the Binntaler Breithorn. On arrival at the Hockbode plateau at 2100 m, the view opens up to a magnificent environment. Now there is a crisp final ascent to master until you reach the Schaplersee at 2237 m. It lies in spectacular surroundings in a basin bordered by the Stockhorn to the east and the Hirli to the west. Here you can enjoy a well-deserved break. For the way back, you should first head back towards Hockbode. Then you continue via Dri Stafle and Mässerchäller in the direction of Binn. Finally, you cross the English stream and reach the road some time later. Follow the road for the last stretch to the car park.
