Parc naturel régional Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut - Between two teeth and three valley

When you arrive in Enney, a village on the outer edge of the valley of Intyamon ('between the mountains' in patois), look to the east and you will spy the Col de La Forcla, the highest point on this hiking trail, which runs between the jagged peaks of the Dent du Chamois and the Dent du Bourgo.

The first stage of the trail crosses the Sarine valley. After a short walk along the road, the path begins to climb gradually through pastureland and past the few houses that dot the landscape. Below lies Estavannens and its two hamlets, while straight ahead is the expansive Intyamon valley and its mountains. After a short section through the forest, the path passes by the Les Perreyres alp. The second stage of the ascent is steeper and runs along the dry pastures of Ciernedon, which are home to a wide range of flora and fauna.

From the Col de La Forcla (1,546 m) you can enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. The trail runs downhill to the Motélon valley through a scenic valley peppered with small mountain farms ('alps'), most of which are still in use during the summer months. The last section of the hike crosses the picturesque plateau of La Monse and continues along a path lined with maple trees and a sensitively restored dry-stone wall. The final downhill stretch leads to the foot of the Dents Vertes and the village of Charmey, the day's final destination.
