Set off to discover the features of this regionthe alpine mountain flora, the limestone and much more, with a wonderful view.
Parc régional Chasseral - This excursion from the summit of the Chasseral to Chaumont is made for those who prefer the descent to the ascent. You will be taken gently down and up from the mountain peeled by the biting winter to the dense forests of the hillsides.
The hike starts at the Hotel Chasseral, where the bus drops you off, whether you came up through Saint-Imier or La Neuveville. Interested in the historical aspect of the Chasseral summit? Extend your hike by making a detour to the telecommunications antenna, which is impressive at 120 m high. Alternatively, the walk to Chaumont starts just in front of the hotel.
The path follows the ridge to the pass. At this altitude, we are at the limit of tree growth. From the pass, the first trees appear: a few spruce trees, one or two maple trees. The vegetation becomes thicker and thicker as we enter the Combe Biosse nature reserve.
The route continues to Chaumont, from where we can take the funicular towards Neuchâtel, but not without a last look at the Chasseral summit and its antenna from the panoramic tower.

Chasseral - La Vue des Alpes: This two-day walk takes you along the path of the pioneers through the unique Jura mountain landscape and the Regional Park.
A relatively gentle but continuous uphill hike from Les Prés-d'Orvin to the summit of the Chasseral following the ridge and through typical forests and wooded pastures. Panoramic views, alpine flora and the Chasseral antenna are on the menu.
