Naturpark Thal - Restaurant Eintracht in Balsthal is the perfect place to go for homely Swiss cooking.
There’s a Dorfbeiz (village pub) in every village – in Balsthal, there’s the Restaurant Eintracht. And the locals don’t really care about the name “Dorfbeiz” – why should they? Located in the centre of Balsthal, the Eintracht is a homely and traditional place to stop for a bite to eat, and has been for over 100 years. Marcel Kunz, who’s been running the restaurant since 2004, serves simple homely dishes with a fair value-for-money benefit to a wide public. The cordon bleu (ham- and cheese-filled schnitzel) or spätzle (egg noodles) here are well-known, and with the homemade desert specialities, this trained baker-pastry chef displays his mastery of his craft. It goes without saying that primarily regional ingredients are used.
