Parc naturel du Jorat - Montheron Abbey is a historic place that awaits your visit. Noticed in 1135 already by the Cistercian monks who established their monastery at the edge of the Talent, this place on the western edge of the Jorat forest is very poetic.
In the middle of the beautiful Jorat forest and at the edge of the Talent, come and discover the charm of the Old Cistercian Abbey of Montheron, which offers concerts, themed walks, guided tours and conferences to delight you.
Montheron Abbey is a historic place that awaits your visit. Noticed in 1135 already by the Cistercian monks who established their monastery at the edge of the Talent, this place on the western edge of the Jorat forest is very poetic.
This is where the Association of Friends of the Montheron Abbey invites you to experience calm, beauty, music and a friendly atmosphere. From the monastery replaced in 1536 by a reformed temple, some vestiges remain, an ideal goal for a walk along the edge of the Jorat forests. The current church and the chapter house are open during the day for visitors.
