Transdisciplinary Research Project on Culture & Environment

UNESCO Biosphäre Entlebuch   - A multi-year research and teaching project on the topic of culture and environment with the participation of the population. The project is implemented with different research groups and students from ETH Zurich and ZHdK Zurich.

In this multi-year research project, research questions in the fields of culture and environment are identified together with a diverse accompanying group from the population of Entlebuch and these questions are then scientifically processed. Answering the questions and discussing the results is done in a bottom-up way again involving the local population. The research project is embedded in teaching subjects of ETH Zurich and ZHdK Zurich, which leads to interdisciplinary collaborations between science and art and delivers novel insights to all participants involved. The project will be implemented from 2022 to 2024, after which it may be continued.
