Lischboden round

The longest and most technically demanding route leads over many ascents and descents through the Gantrisch cross-country skiing centre. It is suitable for advanced and physically strong runners.

8.3 kilometres and almost 170 metres in altitude to complete. The Lischboden circuit is a very beautiful circuit for ambitious athletes. You start at the Süftenen mountain hut with an easy descent towards Selital. At the first junction, the route continues downhill and then steadily uphill along the Holzerweg towards Lischboden below the Schüpfenfluh through the forest. At Lischboden you have the opportunity to take a short rest and let your gaze wander over the Mittelland. The route then takes you up one of the most challenging and steepest climbs in the Gantrisch cross-country skiing centre to the Selibühlsattel. Within just 1.3 kilometres, around 115 metres in altitude have to be covered. After a short and rapid descent, the route heads right through the forest in a steady up and down back towards the Süftenen mountain hut. Before the finish at the mountain hut, the steep descent along the Süftenenbord awaits cross-country skiers. We recommend that you take great care on this descent and take off your skis if you are unsure. An easier bypass is signposted. After a final easy ascent on the main network, you reach the mountain hut.
