Valais dry steppe - excursion on the nature park trail
Naturpark Pfyn-Finges - This excursion is characterised by the Valais rock steppes, dry meadows and pine and oak forests.
The Valais rock steppe thrives in the warmest and driest places, on stony soils and even on rock. It is made up of a special flora and fauna and is reminiscent of the large steppe areas of continental Asia.
The vegetation is characterised by special species such as steppe grass and wig bushes.
The start is in Erschmatt, the pleasant hiking trail leads us downhill to the High Bridge, and from there on to the hamlets of Rotafen, Lichten and Brentjong to the satellite station.
The excursion starts in Erschmatt, Dorf and ends at the bus stop Leuk, Abzw. Guttet. Please note that if you arrive by car, the group will not walk back to Erschmatt. We therefore recommend travelling by public transport.
Clothing suitable for weather conditions, good shoes, binoculars or a magnifying glass are desirable. Possibly take snacks with you.
The excursion is conducted in German and French
