Details

Natura Trails are themed hike in protected areas that raise awareness about nature and landscape protection and support a sustainable regional development. A Natura Trail is much more than just a hike. Thanks to the pocket guide, you can embellish your walk with activities for both adults and children and you’ll learn a lot about the surrounding flora, fauna and landscape.
Following the 2004 project in Austria launched by the Naturefriends, more than 180 Natura Trails have been created in Germany, Austria and in Eastern Europe. In 2008, the Natura Trail concept recognized by the Austrian UNESCO Commission as the “Education for sustainable development” Decade project.
