Around the Guggershorn (Switzerland Mobility 501)
Naturpark Gantrisch - The well-known Guggershörnli is a striking Nagelfluh rock between Schwarzenburg and Guggisberg with a magnificent panorama. This medium-difficulty route circles it.
Schwarzenburg, which is ideally accessible by public transport, serves as the starting point for this circular route. The route starts leisurely along the village meadows towards the Pre-Alps. Passing the hamlet Kriesbaumen, the ascent begins towards the first elevation, Neuematt. After a view of the Gantrisch range and Alps, the route descends to Riffenmatt and from there along the south slope of Schwendelberg and Guggershörnli to Guggisberg.
In Guggisberg, the descent begins via Walehus and the romantic Pfadflüe down to the village forest. Now follows a great ride on gravel and natural forest paths to the impressive Sense cliffs. Finally, the route leads back to the starting point Schwarzenburg on gravel and asphalt roads.
