Pfyffe route

Naturpark Gantrisch - Short and challenging route for advanced cross-country skiers starting from Schutzhütte Süftenen with the sharp climb "Pfyffe", the steepest in the Gantrisch cross-country ski center.

The short challenging cross-country ski route Pfyffe-Runde starts at the Schutzhütte Süftenen. From there, it gently descends along the main axis of the cross-country ski network towards Ottenleuebad. Before the road goes down into the village, the track turns right. Now follows the steepest climb that the Gantrisch cross-country ski center has to offer. The short and very steep section rewards all cross-country skiers with a unique view of the Gantrisch range and the Freiburg Prealps. A gentle and steady ascent leads to the highest point of the route, followed by a first gentle and finally rapid descent back to the main network. At the end of the route, a steady gentle climb awaits back to the Schutzhütte Süftenen.
