Regionaler Naturpark Schaffhausen - The Reiat trail runs along the typical regional hilly landscape and the four districts of lower Reiat that are well worth seeing. Embark on a special expedition and walk through one of the most northerly regions of Switzerland.

The varied walking tour takes you through the typical regional hilly landscape, past green pastures and fields, vineyards and mixed deciduous and coniferous woodland. The view to the German Hegau landscape is particularly breathtaking with its extinct volcanoes and on the Swiss side the Alps. The Reiat trail passes through the four districts of Bibern, Hofen, Altdorf that are well worth seeing and Opfertshofen in the municipality of Thayngen. Numerous points of interest and exciting information about the historical development of this unique region will inspire you on the way. The many starting points and short cuts as well as the numerous bus stops along the route enable you to adapt the tour individually and thus guarantee a tailor-made walking pleasure for all. Restaurants and beautiful resting places with barbecue areas along the way invite you to stay awhile. Embark on a special expedition and walk through one of the most northerly regions of Switzerland.
