Chantal Keller has always loved travelling and meeting new people. Originally from Neuchâtel, Chantal decided in 2001 to make the medieval town of Gruyères her forever home.

Before realising her long-held dream of running a guest house, Chantal was a professional actuary, and had worked with troubled teenage girls after studying curative education. In 2017 she opened up some of her rooms to guests, and by the end of 2019 had acquired a second house in the medieval town, which has 3 bedrooms, a self-contained flat, and a massage room.

All rooms have been renovated using high-quality, reclaimed materials which have been locally sourced as far as possible. Each room boasts its own unique design. For example, one apartment features mosaics made by Chantal. Another has a beautifully carved indoor balcony as well as a four-poster bed complete with lace canopy. Chantal also offers ASCA-accredited massages, and a range of products she has crafted by hand from wild plants and herbs.
