Parc naturel régional Jura vaudois - This Visitor Centre is the ideal place to find out more about what a Regional Nature Park is, and about the missions of the Jura vaudois Park.
The Centre is the first port of call for visitors to find out more about the Jura vaudois regional Nature Park. A permanent exhibition explains the missions entrusted to Swiss regional nature parks by the Confederation, including a presentation of the Park’s projects relating to the landscape, biodiversity, soft tourism, promotion of local produce and the local economy, and sustainable development education.
There are also two themed trails. The Sapin à Siméon nature trail, 1,5 kilometres from the mountain pass on the road to Bière, provides information about the Jura vaudois regional nature park’s wealth of natural heritage and the history of its forestry and pastoral farming.
The Red Wood Ant Trail at the col du Marchairuz offers a fun, educational introduction to this little insect that everyone, young and old, will enjoy.
