At the source of the Lionne (the lioness) the water bubbles out of the rock, after flowing for several kilometres through a network of underground tunnels.
Before the construction of water tapping for the Vallorbe power plant, the Brenet lake water flowed through this natural funnel. A detour to this impressive gorge is well worthwhile.

The oak forest near to Genolier is a diverse habitat for plants and animals. Over a third of the forest area of 140 hectares is today under conservation protection, and here research is also carried out.
The peat bog named “Sagne” in Le Sentier is of national importance. Here you find typical plants of peat bogs, that prefer acid soils. The bog, where they used to cut peat until 1940, is a conservation area today.

This medium-loop circuit leaves from Saint-Cergue and leads through woods and pastures to La Givrine through the Regional Nature Park of the Vaudois Jura. The return trip takes bikers through beautiful little valleys back to the village.

Diese Wanderung führt von den Jurahöhen bergab bis zu den Weinbergen des Genfersees, vom Gebirgspass Col du Marchairuz über die charmanten Dörfer Bière und Saint-Livres bis nach Aubonne.
Ausgehend vom Gebirgspass Col du Marchairuz folgt die Route entlang des Jura-Höhenwegs bis zum Crêt de la Neuve, von wo aus man eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Genfersee geniessen kann. Der Weg verläuft dann oberhalb Arzier nach Saint-Cergue.
Ab dem Gebirgspass Col du Marchairuz führt der Weg am Pré de Rolle vorbei, bevor er in den Wald hineinführt. Nicht zu verpassen ist der Rocher l’Eau pendante mit seiner nie versiegenden Quelle auf dem Weg nach Saint-George.
