Regionaler Naturpark Schaffhausen - The bean ore which was quarried in the region needed to get worked of course. This happened amongst others in the old forge in Neunkirch of the 19. Century which is still found in the center of Neunkirch.
It is possible that in the second half of the ore mining on the southern Randen from 1810 until 1850 bean ore was worked up in the forge in Neunkirch. From 1801 until the closing in 1948 three generations of the family Uehlinger practiced a forge for arms and hoofs. Today the forge can be visited.
The water trail takes you from the historic town centre to revitalised streams revitalised streams, inviting fountains and reservoirs. Along the way ten informative boards await you along the way.
