Parc naturel régional Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut - Re-connect with nature and heal with horses

Carine Morier-Genoud has been providing equine-assisted therapy for a decade. Originally, the trained therapist set up her practice in the Jura where she and her husband Michel had spent their summers. But she never stopped looking for a dream location in the Pays-d'Enhaut.
In 2020 the couple's dream finally came true: they found a wonderful property deep in the countryside of Château-d'Œx which came with three hectares of land where their horses could roam almost freely and live their lives to the full.
Carine and Michel sensitively renovated and converted the old mountain farmhouse into a B&B in 2022. They sourced all of the wood used in the refurbishment from the Pays-d'Enhaut, and have lovingly preserved the authenticity of the property, which dates back to 1815. The B&B at Le Pré des Chevaux offers guests a welcoming and engaging oasis of calm, surrounded by nature and animals.
Visitors can observe the horses, interact with them and even take part in an equine-assisted therapy session if they wish. For Carine, becoming a Park partner firm means becoming part of a business community where members interact, exchange ideas and learn. Supporting the local economy is also part of her mission. For example, almost all of the items on the breakfast menu are locally sourced or homemade.
