Jurapark Aargau - In the former largest iron mine in Switzerland known not only for its silo, but also for its variety of fossils, a museum was opened in May 2013. The visitor will find a large amount of information about mining, fossils and geology.

Getting there: From the Herznach bus stop (Post), it’s a 10-minute walk to the mine.
Hiking tip: The Eisenweg trail from Wölflinswil to Zeihen (approx. 5 hours) passes the Herznach mine on the section from Wölflinswil to Herznach (2 hours). This themed trail features various information boards detailing ore mining in the region.
Eating out: Löwen in Herznach and Ochsen in Wölflinswil – both are popular roadside restaurants

Bookable activities: Private guided tours can be booked directly with the mine from CHF 400.
Prams & Accessibility: Not suitable for prams, but a wheelchair-accessible toilet is available.
