Exhibition of Vineyards and Nature

Museum / Exhibition
Season: All season

Naturpark Pfyn-Finges - Global warming, hybrid vines, organic viniculture ... This exhibition brings the relationship between vineyards and nature into a contemporary light. Among other things, it shows how biodiversity can be promoted in vineyards.

The exhibition in Salgesch tells the fascinating story of the vineyards around Salgesch, which provide an excellent and groundbreaking example with their relationship to nature. "The Pfyn-Finges Wine Park" exhibition can be found in the Nature and Landscape center in Salgesch The fight against the decline in biodiversity began in the early 1980s in these vineyards on the edge of the Pfynwald forest reserve in Salgesch. The long dispute over vineyard improvement, in which winegrowers, landscape conservationists and politicians were involved, made it possible to preserve biological bridges and oasis, such as traditional dry stone walls, meadows and hedges. This cooperation also contributed significantly to the creation of the Pfyn-Finges Regional Nature Park. The exhibition tells the story of these seminal events.
Today the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park supports organic viticulture through its activities and products.
