Good, sturdy, water- and cold-resistant shoes as well as poles for necessary stability in the snow are recommended.
We ask you to observe the following points on the winter hiking trails:
If outdoor sports enthusiasts respect the space of the wildlife, fewer prohibitions and restrictions are needed and the natural landscape remains open for genuine nature experiences. We ask for careful consideration and thank you!
The hike starts at the mountain station of the Rossweid gondola lift. At the beginning of the hike, you share the path with Nordic sports enthusiasts. The route to Salwideli is mostly flat and without major elevation changes. From Salwideli, it continues through the idyllic winter landscape in the valley floor between the Rothorn chain and Schrattenfluh, steadily gently downhill to Kemmeriboden-Bad.
Surrounded by pure nature, Kemmeriboden-Bad guests want for nothing. Relaxation and culinary delights await in a lovingly restored house with every comfort and modern infrastructure.
You will certainly not be bored in the flower and colour magic of the Entlebuch moorlands. The moorland plants offer magnificent colours in spring and autumn - a pleasure for all senses.
The Rossweid in Sörenberg is the meeting place for families and nature lovers - in winter as well as in summer.
The Rossweid Experience Restaurant high above Sörenberg, in the midst of the high moors, offers a great range of activities in and around the house. Also as a mountain hotel it is an ideal starting point to discover the nature and mountain landscape.
