The beautiful and varied cultural landscape of the Diemtigtal offers many birds a home. The bird route leads you through numerous habitats of native bird species. Watch the nursery of a pair of swifts live with a nest camera or test your knowledge of bird calls. Along the way, many surprising facts about the bird world await you. 

The populations of many bird species are declining sharply. The reason for this is often the lack of habitat, which we humans change for our purposes. A long-term goal in the Diemtigtal is therefore to provide rare species with better living conditions again. With the help of the local population, landowners, and the Sempach Bird Observatory, various projects are underway to promote our bird world.
