Regionaler Naturpark Schaffhausen - Experience the beautiful forests of the Randen on the plateau-like mountain range on horseback.
On the way, you can catch a fantastic view of Schaffhausen and the surrounding area from the Beringer Randenturm. In fine weather, you can even see the Swiss Alps.
The 26-metre-high tower, built in 1998, replaced the old tower, which had existed since 1884. Up to the top, 137 steps and six intermediate landings have to be overcome. From the top there is a wide view over Klettgau and the Alps.
The Schleitheimer Randenturm is the highest point in the Schaffhausen Regional Nature Park. From there, 20 metres above ground, you can enjoy the unique view from the Randen over the Hegau, the Swiss Pre-Alps and far into the Black Forest.
On the only alp in the canton of Schaffhausen, the Babental restaurant invites you to enjoy home-style and regional cuisine. The restaurant has been awarded the nature park innkeeper label.
