Signalization
The route starts in Tiermatti, Schwenden. At the beginning, it goes downstream into the Höllersbergwald and on the gravel path through the Balmiwald up to the lower Gurbs. The demanding descent into the valley takes a right turn just before the alp hut. It follows the old Gurbs path down to Schlatti. For less experienced riders, we recommend caution and pushing the bike in some sections. The rather leisurely ride along the Schattsite to Grunholz until Egg once again showcases the extensive cultural landscape. Properly warmed up, you take on the most challenging section up to the rear Nydegg. From there, it goes downhill again on beautiful forest roads back to Tiermatti. The approximately 750 meters of elevation gain are completed.
Follow the red signposts with route number 916 – they show you the way.
