Wildnispark Zürich Sihlwald - This hike leads through the wilderness park of Zurich Sihlwald, the largest natural beech mixed woodland in the central part of Switzerland.

The steep one-hour climb from Hausen to Albishorn is rewarded with beautiful views of the Alpine foothills. As you continue along the trail, you enter the core zone of the Wildnispark Zurich Sihlwald. The path leads past the Albishornweiher pond, where grass frogs make themselves heard in spring. Birdsong and pristine forest structures accompany you down to the bottom of the Sihl Valley. The visitor centre in Sihlwald invites you to linger: with a playground, fire pits, information and an exciting exhibition. The hiking trail then follows the forest adventure trail up to the Zimmerberg. After passing under the motorway, keep to the right and walk downhill towards Lake Zurich to Horgen railway station or the boat station.
