Dani Schnider's professional training route
UNESCO Biosphäre Entlebuch - Dani Schnider's absolute favorite route, multiple Swiss cycling champion, is not an easy Sunday ride but a route for athletes who love a challenge.
The route goes through the varied landscape of the Entlebuch and served Dani Schnider as preparation for races such as the Tour de France or the Giro d'Italia. The start is in the village of Schüpfheim and leads on the bike path to Escholzmatt. At the Wanne, you return on the other side of the valley back towards Schüpfheim. Via Schüpfer-Gmeinwerch, Schüperegg, Schabuzis, Habschwanden, Doppleschwand, the route goes towards Romoos. Over the last climb of the circuit - called "the small Susten" - Romoos and Holzwegen are reached. The descent to Fontanne leads to Wolhusen. At Migros, turn right and ride over the Rotenflue to the Rengg. Once at the Rengg, continue straight ahead where you cycle past the impressive wind turbines near Feldmoos. Now it goes down to Entlebuch, then towards Hasle and Heiligkreuz back to Schüpfheim.
