E-bike & Schrattenfluh pleasure tour

E-bike itinerary
Time required: 5 hours 30 minutesLength: 52.92 km

UNESCO Biosphäre Entlebuch   -

Open

The more exciting e-bike tour with fascinating views and delicious gourmet stops.

The Schrattenfluh from all sides - what a sight. The challenging tour offers a few crisp passages, but these can be bypassed. You will be rewarded in between with fine enjoyment stops so that you have enough energy for the whole route. The tour starts in Sörenberg and first takes you through the beautiful Junkholz/Gloggenmatt moorland before the first ascent towards the Hilfere Pass awaits you in Flühli. From the pass, you continue towards Dorbach. From here, there are some steeper sections, which you can avoid - see "Safety instructions". On this passage up to Alp Imbrig, you have a fantastic view of the jagged rocks of the Schrattenfluh - a rather unusual, but super beautiful view of this mountain. Perfect for enjoying your snack to go. Shortly after "Unter Lochsite", you cross the border into the canton of Bern and head towards Bumbach. From here, it's not far to the legendary Kemmeriboden-Bad. Here you will be rewarded with another enjoyable stop and can charge your e-bike in the meantime. Because you'll need more power (or your e-bike) for the final ascent. After the rest stop, head up via Chüblisbüel and Schneeberg towards Salwideli. And now a short stretch down to the Hotel Rischli, where the last indulgence stop awaits you with a sweet finish.

Equipment / Equipment rent

Good equipment including rain and heat protection and helmets are a matter of course. Repair and first aid kits are always included. Your bike is roadworthy and you have lights with you for dusk. E-bikes require daytime running lights on all public roads.

ATTENTION: A spare battery is highly recommended for this tour, as one battery will probably not last for the entire tour. You can charge your e-bike at the Landgasthof Kemmeriboden-Bad. Make sure you bring your charger with you.

Safety advices

Hints:

  • Birkenhof-Junkholz approx. 150 m (pushing passage)
  • Do not miss the Hilferehüttli turn-off (adjust your downhill speed)
  • Steep section between Steiwang and Imbrig
Alternative route: From "Dorbach" there are some steeper sections. Here you have the option of choosing an easier section and riding down the road to the main road towards Marbach. Continue on the cycle path to Schangnau and return to the actual tour at "Hinter Leu".

Wear the right protective equipment, assess your ability correctly, give way to hikers, stay on the trail and close pasture fences! Follow the Central Switzerland Bike Code - this will keep you safe on your mountain bike!
