Travel smart and relaxed to the Swiss parks
This website is the basis for the terms and conditions of the “50% discount on public transport travel to the Swiss parks” offer and is binding on all parties involved.
Scope of validity
When is the offer valid?
The offer is valid for bookings made from 1 June for travel from 1 August 2026 to 31 October 2026, subject to availability. Please order your coupon codes from 1 June onwards, immediately after booking your accommodation, and then purchase your tickets as soon as possible, as the number of discounted tickets is limited. Please purchase separate tickets for the outward and return journeys and provide details of any existing travel passes (e.g. Half-Fare Travelcard, or Regional Travelcard, etc.) when booking.
Which accommodation options does the offer apply to?
The offer of discounted public transport to and from your destination is valid for stays of three or more nights at one of around 50 accommodation options in 10 Swiss parks and the Sardona Tectonic Arena. You can find an overview of the accommodation options here. Please book your overnight stay directly with the accommodation.
We are planning a three-day hike in a park and will be staying at three different accommodations. Will we still receive the discounted tickets for the outward and return journeys?
No, you agree to spend the three or more nights in the same accommodation.
Does the offer also apply to children?
Yes, children travel free of charge on public transport up to the age of six. Older children also benefit from the offer when staying for three or more nights. Please specify the number of children when ordering via the online form and provide details of any existing travelcards (such as Junior Travelcard, Children’s Co-Travelcard or Day Pass Children ) when purchasing tickets.
How do I benefit from the offer as a GA travelcard holder?
As a GA holder, you do not benefit from the discounted public transport journey
Does the offer also apply if, after staying in one of the ten Swiss parks or in the Sardona Tectonic Arena, I do not return home but continue my journey within Switzerland?
Yes, you can also benefit from the 50% discount on your onward journey within Switzerland. Please note that on your return journey, the departure stop is limited to the nearest public transport stop to your accommodation. You are free to choose your destination within Switzerland.
We are travelling to one of the parks from abroad. Is the offer also valid from abroad?The offer “50% discount on public transport journeys to the Swiss parks” applies only to 2nd-class travel on public transport in Switzerland. The coupon codes can be used to purchase tickets for the outward journey from any Swiss station to your destination and back. If you are travelling from abroad, the coupon code allows you to purchase a ticket from the border station on the outward journey and to the border station on the return journey.
We are a hiking group staying at the same hotel for three nights. Can we take advantage of this offer?
Yes, all group members staying in an accommodation for three nights or longer can benefit from this offer. The coupon codes can be ordered via the form for individual members. The number of travellers must match the booking confirmation. The tickets can then be purchased individually. Please note that the coupon codes will all be sent to a single email address. For larger groups (10 people or more), please contact us in good time via tourismus@parks.swiss.

Coupon codes, ticket purchase
What are “coupon codes”?
You can use the coupon codes to purchase your public transport tickets (single-journey tickets) in the SBB online shop at sbb.ch or at an SBB Travel Centre. To prevent any misuse, the coupon codes for the “50% discount on public transport travel to the Swiss parks” offer are restricted to the stops closest to the participating accommodation providers. If you encounter any booking difficulties, please contact the SBB Contact Centre or visit an SBB Travel Centre.

How do I get my public transport ticket with discount?
Once you have booked your accommodation, you can use the online form from 1 June onwards to order your individual coupon codes for your journey online no later than four working days before departure (we recommend ordering as soon as possible). Please have your booking confirmation to hand.
You will then receive one coupon code per traveller for the outward and return journeys. You can redeem the coupon codes directly in the SBB online shop at sbb.ch or at an SBB Travel Centre. Please purchase a separate ticket (single journey ticket) for the outward and return journeys and enter your Half-Fare Card, if you have one. Please use each coupon code only once per booking or ticket. The tickets are valid for travel in 2nd class. Any change of class can be booked separately at your own expense via sbb.ch, in the SBB Mobile app or at an SBB Travel Centre. You will receive details of any local transport options directly from your accommodation.
Biosfera Val Müstair offers a guest card. What do I need to do?
After booking your accommodation, use the online form to order your coupon codes for the outward and return journeys to the Biosfera Val Müstair. The coupon codes are valid for the outward journey to Zernez. If you select a stop in Val Müstair, you will receive an error message. For the onward journey from Zernez, you can use your guest card, which you will receive in advance directly from your accommodation. If you have any questions about the guest card, please contact the accommodation directly.
How can I be sure I’ll receive the coupon codes before departure?
We will send you the coupon codes in good time before your departure so that you can purchase your tickets. However, if you have not received any information by three days before departure, please contact the Swiss Parks Network office immediately by telephone (+41 (0)31 381 10 71). Please note that our confirmation email containing the coupon codes may end up in your spam folder.

Luggage, bicycles, dogs
How do I check in my luggage?
Here you will find information on checking in or taking your luggage with you. Please note that all SBB conditions apply to both outward and return transport from your accommodation to your home. The Swiss Parks Network and the respective accommodation providers accept no liability.
I am travelling with my bicycle. Is this included in the offer of free return ticket?
No, a separate bicycle ticket must be purchased. Please find more information on sbb.ch.
Can my dog also benefit from the offer of free public transport travel?
No, please buy a normal ticket for your dog. You can find more information on sbb.ch.
Postponing, extending, cancelling
What should I do if I wish to postpone or extend my stay?
If you have already purchased your tickets (and used the coupon codes), please apply for a refund using the linked refund form. If you have any questions, please contact the SBB Contact Centre directly or visit an SBB Travel Centre.
So that we can send you new coupon codes afterwards, please email us the confirmation of your ticket refund application to tourismus@parks.swiss. For last-minute changes, please contact us by telephone via the Swiss Parks Network office (+41 (0)31 381 10 71). Unfortunately, late or omitted notifications cannot be taken into account and you will have to pay for the new ticket yourself.

What should I do if I have to leave earlier?
Please request a refund for your pre-booked return ticket using the linked refund form. If you have any questions, please contact the SBB Contact Centre directly or visit an SBB Travel Centre.
To enable us to send you new coupon codes, please email us the confirmation of your ticket refund application to tourismus@parks.swiss. In the event of last-minute changes, please contact us by telephone via the Swiss Parks Network office (+41 (0)31 381 10 71). Unfortunately, late or omitted notifications cannot be taken into account and you will have to pay for the new ticket yourself. Please note the cancellation terms and conditions of your accommodation.

What do I have to pay if I cancel my stay at short notice?
If you have already purchased your tickets (coupon codes already used), please apply for a refund using the linked refund form. If you have any questions, please contact the SBB Contact Centre directly or visit an SBB Travel Centre.
If you have not yet used the coupon codes, please email us at tourismus@parks.swiss. This will allow us to reissue the coupon codes.

What happens if I am unable to travel by public transport?
If you have already purchased your tickets (coupon codes already used), please apply for a refund using the linked refund form. If you have any questions, please contact the SBB Contact Centre directly or visit an SBB Travel Centre.
If you have not yet used the coupon codes, please email us at tourismus@parks.swiss. This will allow us to reissue the coupon codes.

Use of data
What happens to the data I provide?
To send you the coupon codes, we need your first name, surname, telephone number, email address and booking confirmation. For quality assurance purposes, you will receive an email with a survey after your journey. All personal details will be deleted after the promotion and will not be used for marketing purposes.
