Fricktaler Höhenweg
Jurapark Aargau - The Fricktaler Höhenweg extends for over 60 kilometers, from the beautiful old town of Rheinfelden across the high plateaus of the Tafeljura and the wild Tiersteinberg, past viewpoints and pine forests rich in orchids, to the Mettau valley.
Along the Fricktaler Höhenweg, you experience the Fricktal from its most beautiful side. When cherry blossoms bloom, meadows shine yellow, and resting at the barbecue site or in the restaurant is so cozy that you would like to linger forever. When in autumn, colorful leaves cover the forest path and in the clear winter air the heights of the Fricktal, the Black Forest, and the Basel region rise white into the sky. The Fricktaler Höhenweg extends for over 60 kilometers, from the beautiful old town of Rheinfelden across the high plateaus of the Tafeljura and the wild Tiersteinberg, past bright pine forests rich in orchids and various viewpoints, to the Mettau valley. The total route requires about 16 hours of hiking time. Naturally, such a long path can only be covered in stages. These are described in detail in the brochure. Numerous inns and restaurants along the route provide rest and catering.
