Crystal hunting on Piz Beverin

Naturpark Beverin - Alpine rock crystal crystal hunting excursions on Piz Beverin with professional crystal hunter Wolfgang Josche in Wergenstein.

Spend a day discovering the treasures (crystals) of the Schamserberg under the expert guidance of professional crystal hunter Wolfgang Josché. Suitable for adults and children aged 8 and above (accompanied by an adult) who have a head for heights, are sure-footed and in good physical condition.

Daily schedule: The day begins with a short introduction at the Capricorn restaurant to general prospecting activities in the Swiss Alps and Graubünden. We then hike for a good half hour to the site. Here, under expert guidance, we will search for rock crystals and their accompanying minerals such as calcite, pyrite, etc. using hammers and chisels on the rock or digging in the ground. After a break at lunchtime, we will continue prospecting until around 2.30 p.m., then we will make our way back and have a drink at the Capricorn in Wergenstein. Afterwards, until around 4.30 p.m., we will visit the mineral exhibition in the workshop.
