Parc naturel régional Jura vaudois - This scenic trail connects Vaulion to Croy, passing through Romainmôtier along the Nozon river. It features 12 stations explaining the role of water, while interactive modules and a treasure hunt delight children.
The Water Trail and the Nozon Valley invite you to discover one of the wildest and best-preserved valleys in the Jura vaudois. Between Vaulion and Croy, the route follows marked trails dotted with 12 stations explaining how water has shaped the landscape, influenced biodiversity, and impacted human activities.
Dynamic and fun, the trail features several interactive modules designed for families. Young explorers will enjoy answering treasure hunt questions, guided by the White-throated Dipper, the trail's mascot.
The path crosses the Cluniac village of Romainmôtier, renowned for its abbey church and picturesque charm. Be sure to stop at La Porterie, the welcome center, information point, and discovery space of the Jura vaudois Regional Nature Park!
The hike is easily accessible by public transport: from the CFF train station at Croy-Romainmôtier, a bus takes you to the trailhead, and the loop returns you to the station.
