Trail of the Risoud Resonance Wood
Parc naturel régional Jura vaudois - Along a six-kilometer route starting from Les Grandes Roches, 11 educational panels reveal the secrets of this unique forest, which enables the production of the finest musical instruments thanks to its resonance properties.
Listed on the intangible heritage register of the Canton of Vaud, resonance wood is highly prized by musical instrument makers.
The Municipality of Le Chenit, Vallée de Joux Tourisme, and the Jura vaudois Regional Nature Park have joined forces to raise awareness of this resource hidden in the Risoud forests: resonance spruce.
Starting from Les Grandes Roches in Le Brassus, the easy trail is accessible on foot during the warmer months and on cross-country skis in winter.
