UNESCO Biosphäre Entlebuch -
The short circular route is ideal for a small evening round or a light hiking route. The path leads from the village of Flühli on the signposted Kneipp circular route to the natural wellness oasis of the Kneipp facility Schwandalpweiher.
The strong scent of the colorful herb garden welcomes and accompanies you as you enter the wonderfully nature-integrated facility for Kneipp therapy, built in 2003 at Schwandalpweiher. The pond at the foot of the Schwändelifluh is staged crystal clear to the bottom with wooden piers and benches - all made of local wood. Pretty stone walls frame the magnificent image. It is rumoured, quite justifiably, to be the most beautiful Kneipp facility in Switzerland.
This place of power invites relaxation, for example after a strenuous hike to Schwändelifluh or Fürstein, or simply to escape everyday life and let your soul dangle. The crystal-clear water, the Kneipp pond with footbath, arm bath, pouring station, barefoot path, quiet zone, and herb garden are pure balm for body and mind. Do you dare to step through the 6-degree cold water? After the Kneipp walk, the hiking trail gently descends towards Hüttlenen, where you cross the road and walk along the Waldemme back to the village of Flühli. You can also shorten the hike after the Kneipp visit and walk back to the village via Längbrügg on the road. A short stop at the shop CHRÜTLIMACHER is worthwhile on the way. In addition to the specially produced care and wellness products, there are also herbal teas, spices, liqueurs, jams, and much more.
Opening hours
The Kneipp facility is open all year round daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Admission
Admission costs CHF 5.00 (adults and children from 12 years), CHF 3.00 (children up to 12 years) and can be paid in cash or by Twint.
