Fricktal High Trail (4): Frick - Sennhütten

Hiking trail
Time required: 4 hours 15 minutesLength: 14.25 km

Jurapark Aargau - On the way from Frick to Sennhütten, the path leads through woodland, cool forests, and past historical boundary stones.

The high route starts from Frick via Zendlematt to the scenic forest edge of the 650 m high Frickberg. Soon, the expanse of the Hornusser vineyards opens up before you. Over Grossacher (533 m) and the Rastort Wettacher (614 m), you reach the distinctive and panoramic Schinberg ridge (722 m). The path continues down to Solbacher (611 m), through the Marchwood (607 m), past historical boundary stones to the hamlet of Sennhütten (634 m).

The Fricktal High Trail - 60 well-marked kilometers of hiking that enchant in every season!

Along the Fricktal High Trail, you experience the Fricktal from its most beautiful side. When cherry blossoms bloom and meadows shine yellow. When a thunderstorm gathers in the distance and the rest at the barbecue spot or restaurant is so cozy that you wish to stay forever. Or when colorful leaves cover the forest path in autumn and in the clear winter air, the heights of the Fricktal, the Black Forest, and the Basel region rise white into the sky.

The Fricktal High Trail measures approximately 60 well-marked hiking kilometers from the city of Rheinfelden, through the heights of the Table Jura to Frick and further to the wine village of Mettau. The trails are marked with blue hiking signs and identified by the Fricktal Linden Leaf. The route can be divided into 4 stages. The fourth stage can additionally be divided into two sections.

Note(s)
If you do not stay overnight in Sennhütten, it is about a 30-minute walk to the next bus stop in Mönthal.
