La Givrine - Le Vermeilley
Parc naturel régional Jura vaudois - This winter walk between La Givrine and Le Vermeilley involves a gentle climb affording beautiful views of the forest in the heart of the Parc Jura Vaudois and a panoramic vista of Mont Blanc.
Starting from La Givrine, after a gentle climb through pastures and forest, you reach La Genolière Farm at 1,348m, the halfway point. In fine weather, you can enjoy beautiful views of Mont Blanc from here.
The route then continues to Le Vermeilley Farm, a tranquil place where you can refuel and enjoy the cosy fire inside or the sunny terrace. You’ll appreciate the peace and quiet of this tranquil place in the middle of nowhere and want to linger a while and enjoy a typical local dish before heading back down on the Col de la Givrine.
