Naturpark Diemtigtal - From the top station of the Grimmialp cable cars, an easy, 2-kilometre circular trail leads to the cosy barbecue spot and back again. Along the way, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the striking peaks of the upper Diemtigtal valley. If you fancy it, you can also discover the new mountain golf course along the route.
The trail is popular with anyone who fancies a short break in the hills without having to set off on a long hike. The gentle gradient and the good condition of the path (forest track) mean that the trail is suitable for people of all ages.
At the top station of the chairlift, there’s a small self-service kiosk with seating. This means you can grab a bite to eat before setting off, or enjoy the sun for a while after you get back, before taking the cable car back down to the valley.
A map of the area is available from the Diemtigtal Nature Park office.
