Gürbetal High Trail (SwitzerlandMobility 380)

Naturpark Gantrisch - This day hike follows the eastern slope of the Längenberg along nature trails with gentle ups and downs all the way to Gürbebadi in Mühlethurnen. Picnic areas, fire pits, and benches, as well as several farm stands, are great spots to take a break.

This hike begins in Kehrsatz. After a short climb up the flank of the Längenberg, the Gürbetaler Höhenweg winds gently up and down on natural trails through fertile farmland and sparse forests. A stunning, unspoiled landscape unfolds before the hiker, with snow-capped mountains soaring into the sky in the background. Old farmhouses adorned with flowers line the path.

One highlight along the way is the hamlet of Fallenbach, arguably the best-preserved hamlet on the Längenberg. Picnic areas, benches, and several inns are great spots to take a break.

The village of Riggisberg is already close to the end of the hike. Lake Thun is also visible by now. Here, the Gürbetaler Höhenweg passes by the Abegg Foundation’s internationally renowned Textile Museum.

The Gürbetaler Höhenweg was shortened in 2022. The section between Riggisberg and Wattenwil is no longer marked with the “Gürbetaler Höhenweg” sign.
