Birds in the alluvial forest and wetland area
Naturpark Pfyn-Finges - We roam through the floodplain forest along the Rhone and listen to the birds singing in the morning and try to get some in front of the lenses of our binoculars and telescopes.
We roam through the floodplain forest along the Rhone and listen to the birds singing in the morning and try to get some in front of the lenses of our binoculars and telescopes, which won't be easy in the trees with good foliage at this time of year. Nevertheless we should see some species like woodpeckers, tits, thrushes, warblers, twig warblers, wren and chaffinches. With a little luck a nightingale can not only be heard, but also seen. In the neighbouring wetland, we’ll keep an eye out for herons and ducks as we go, and wherever there’s a clear view of the water, we’ll also be on the lookout for common sandpipers and white wagtails.
The excursion is conducted in German and French
