Naturpark Pfyn-Finges - Erschmatt (Municipality of Leuk) is a site of national importance. Visit the variety garden or bake and make cheese like in days gone by.
In the narrow alleys in the old village centre discover see if you can find the houses that utilise a rock face as a wall of the house. Many old barns and granaries can also be admired here, one even on stilts that are 2m high!
It is also worthwhile to consult the Erschmatt events calendar. It offers not only guided tours through the village, but also classes on how to bake and make cheese in the traditional style. Furthermore, in the variety garden much can be learned about native flora, particularly in agriculture.
