Naturpark Thal - Over 250 years of watchmaking and clockmaking in Thal at a glance –
Take a journey through time and learn exciting things about the life of the watchmaker, this ancient craft, and the technology of timekeeping.
The museum’s collection includes clocks and watches dating back over two centuries and shows the abundance of timekeepers from the region.
The collection includes large clocks such as church clocks and living room clocks. However the largest part of the collection is the wide range of pocket watches and wristwatches from Thal. The manufacture of watches with their diverse, filigree instruments is also explained.
You can visit the museum independently on every first Sunday of the month or book one of the many museum experiences.
