Museum / Exhibition
Season: All season

Naturpark Pfyn-Finges - In Albinen you can still find many old, sun darkened stables and granaries. The Nature Park Pfyn-Finges has put together a miniature model set, so that interested people canbuild a barn themselves.

Find out how old Valais stables are built.
Albinen is part of the inventory of protected sites of national importance. It holds onto its character as a typical Valais mountain village, with its well preserved townscape nad large church thats dominates the village center. But it ist he old sun tanned wooden houses, stables and graneries that really give the town its charm.
You might be suprised to know that some of these buildings are from the 17th and 18th centuries. But how were they built, and what was their purpose?
In the old school room in Albinen, you can get to the bottom of these questions. Recreate a model stable yourself, decorate the roof with traditional wooden shingles and learn more about the different types of traditional buildings.
