Jura ridgeway to Wasserflue

Jurapark Aargau - A typical Jurapark hike: wide views over green Jura hills and a Genuss-Strassen restaurant with regional specialties to finish.

The route starts at Salhöhe and follows the Jura ridgeway through the green hilly landscape. Cozy forest sections alternate with viewpoints and wide panoramas. The highlight of the route is the Wasserflue: from the viewing platform the view extends over the Mittelland, the Alps, the Jura, and the Black Forest. Depending on the weather conditions, the impressive movements of autumn and winter fog can also be observed here. The Wasserflue is a weather divide between the (rather foggy) Mittelland and the (mostly sunny) Fricktal.

After the Wasserflue, the descent towards Benkerjoch begins, where a large fire pit invites you to linger.

The last section finally leads down into the Jurapark village of Asp: here it is worth visiting the village shop "Asperhandlung" with a wide selection of regional products. End your hiking day best at the Genuss-Strassen restaurant Jura in Asp before you take the short way to the bus stop for your return journey.
