Nature Trail Bannholz

Naturpark Gantrisch - The nature trail in Schwarzenburg provides information about the fauna and flora in the forest area through display boards.

Bannholz is a forest area on the edge of Schwarzenburg. Over the last five years, a true natural paradise has developed there. It blooms in all colors, flutters and hums, birds sing, small mammals and frogs can be spotted with a bit of luck. Wild bees are also native to Bannholz. Along the well-maintained learning trail through the forest, various display boards provide information about the flora and fauna. Come by and learn many new things about our nature.

By the way: The Gantrisch Nature Park tends and cares for Bannholz in cooperation with the Schwarzenburg Nature Conservation Association to preserve the beautiful and educational biodiversity of plants and animals at the stepped forest edge. Under expert guidance, small structures, spawning and breeding sites such as the stone wall, stone and branch piles, the pond, labyrinth path, and nettle garden, as well as paths and banks, are restored.
