Puzzle fun at Rüeggisberg monastery ruins

Theme trail
Time required: 1 hour

Naturpark Gantrisch - Find the lost reading stone of the monks in the Rüeggisberg monastery ruins. The little monastery bat Flederica will help you. She shows you how large the monastery was planned to be, how the monks lived, and what all this has to do with Spain.

There is a great excitement at the Rüeggisberg monastery. The monks have lost the reading stone! Do you want to help find the lost reading stone? Then come to Flederica in Rüeggisberg. The monastery bat will help you find the reading stone again. Solve puzzles, answer questions, follow the symbols, and at the end, you will receive a small gift.

During the puzzle, you will learn how large the monastery was planned and how richly it was decorated. You will see how the monks lived 1000 years ago and why even today many people walk through Rüeggisberg on pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. The associated Gantrisch explorer booklet can be found directly at the Rüeggisberg monastery museum, which is open around the clock, and off you go.

By the way: The Rüeggisberg monastery ruins are among the most impressive monuments of the Cluniac monks in Switzerland. It is well known far beyond the Swiss borders. By the way... the monastery museum was reopened in autumn 2022 after a complete renovation. It is open around the clock because it can be visited independently. Admission is free – guests can show their appreciation with Twint.
