Walk Erschmatt - Leuk

Naturpark Pfyn-Finges - From Erschmatt follow the hiking trail in the direction of Leuk and soon arrive at the High Bridge. Then plunge into the fire-red magnificence of the smoke bushes. After go along the bank of the river to Leuk railway station.

Plunge into the fire-red autumn
From Leuk railway station take the bus to Erschmatt. Before starting towards Leuk stroll leisurely through the narrow alleyways in the old village centre and try to find the one or two houses that utilise a rock face as a wall of the house! Many old barns and granaries can be admired here, one is even on stilts that are 2m high!
Follow the hiking trail in the direction of Leuk and soon you will arrive at the High Bridge. Since the continuation of the walk does not go over the bridge, a small detour is recommended, since the view into the Feschel gorge should not be missed. 
Back on the path again towards Leuk and then you finally plunge into the magnificence of the fire red smoke bushes on the rocky steppes. You can enjoy this spectacle right down to the bank of the Rhone. Afterwards go west along the bank of the river until you reach the Leuk railway station.
