Water route: Rhine, Aare and Jurapark Aargau

Jurapark Aargau - Pleasant circular route from Laufenburg along gentle river landscapes and through the green hills of the Jurapark Aargau.

The tour begins in the Habsburg town of Laufenburg in Jurapark Aargau. The first section leads along the gentle Rhine and to the Klingnauer reservoir with its diverse birdlife. For the first refreshment stop, it's worth taking a short detour off the route to Leuggern: There, the Genuss-Strassen-Restaurant Sonne offers a fine selection of regional dishes.

Back at the reservoir, you will once again immerse yourself in the nature and landscape of this unique habitat, best discovered by visiting the Nature Center Klingnauer Reservoir.

Back on the bike, you now change to the Aare riverbank and follow the quiet river course to Böttstein.

For the last section, you have to overcome a Jura hill on the way to Mandach and the picturesque Mettauertal. Accompanied by the green hill landscapes typical of Jurapark Aargau, you ride through the valley. At the end, a visit to the Genuss-Strassen-Restaurant Bären in Hottwil is worthwhile before the last meters back to Laufenburg await.
