Hameau de Colombire

Naturpark Pfyn-Finges - In winter the hamlet Colombire lies in the middle of the ski area Crans-Montana - Aminona and in summer on the edge of the popular Bisse de Tsittoret hiking trail!
A location that is tailor-made for enjoying the charms of mountain life...

With easy access for skiers, hikers, walkers or motorists in summer, the hamlet offers a choice of two venues for visitors: the cutting-edge “Alpine meadow” suite, which features the new “Relais de Colombire” (reception, restaurant and terrace); and a cluster of three traditional chalets that forms the ecomuseum. Future plans for the hamlet involve taking down and rebuilding four more traditional chalets, called “mayens’ in Swiss French.

To ensure the rich cultural heritage in the future the association "Hameau de Colombire" has transformed the Alpine Museum Colombire into a Eco-museum of transhumance. Attractive displays demonstrate why the system of vertical cultivation (the seasonal moving from the villages to the higher located alps) was necessary for cattle raising and agriculture.
